Who We Are:

Precision Glass & Aluminum is a local, family owned and operated business, that specializes in commercial glazing, consisting of new ground up multi-story projects to small tenant improvements. Our projects include, but are not limited to; storefronts, curtain walls, window walls, ribbon windows, operable systems, all glass entrances, films, and sunshades.  

Customers are our top priority, so we push for “Precision” in all aspects of our work and strive to provide value to our customers with an on-time, every time installation of many quality products!  This attitude is why much of our work comes from repeat business, generated from the relationships we have built with our customers and the value we provide with our service. We may not always be the low bidder, but we will always be the best value for the money. 

About The Owners:

Darrin and Tammy started Precision Glass & Aluminum in 2007 with a goal to provide on-time, every time installation of top-quality products, with integrity and precision.  Their vision is to be a partner and resource to owners, developers, and general contractors by providing high-quality glazing services from design concept to final install.  

Darrin has almost 40 years of experience in the glass/glazing industry with 30 years of experience in Arizona construction. He started in the glazing industry as a young teenager working in his father’s glass shop in Iowa. After moving to Arizona in 1988, Darrin worked in the field as a Glazier while attending college, becoming a lead glazier, then a field foreman, before becoming an estimator in his late twenties. He quickly learned the estimating/sales side of the business and a few years later he was a Project Manager running large projects. The hands-on knowledge and years of experience have curated his wealth of knowledge of the glass industry and with his commitment to continued learning and understanding of the industry, he has become a well-respected and knowledgeable business owner.  Darrin has a passion for the glazing industry and a desire to be a partner and resource to owner’s and contractors which shows in his work.  When he is not working, Darrin spends his time camping, fishing, and hiking with his family. Anything outdoors and in nature is what he loves, with a passion for bass fishing.  

Tammy grew up an Army brat who moved frequently and lived in several states and countries. One of those moves brought her to Phoenix for a short time during her freshman year of high school. That is when she met Darrin and fell in love with Arizona. After high school, Tammy moved back to Arizona to live and attend college, and soon after started working in Corporate America. Tammy worked in Corporate America for 15 years before leaving to start Precision Glass and Aluminum with Darrin. She learned many valuable business and HR skills during her time in Corporate America that she brings to her role at Precision Glass & Aluminum. Away from work, Tammy loves to travel, hike with her Border Collie Dakota, watch football and spend time with friends and family. She is a huge Arizona Cardinals fan and loves going to the games or just getting together with friends and family to watch them on TV.

Precision Glass & Aluminum is a family business. Darrin and Tammy included their children in the business from the start. Their daughter answered phones, paid bills, helped with payroll, and learned the basics of fabrication working alongside her brother.  Their son installed vinyl, fabricated and assembled framing systems, and worked as a field glazier before moving into the office where he now works as a project manager.
